2nd Annual Voices of the Spectrum   4/17/10

Our Voices program was a huge success again this year!  With over 30 individuals with autism speaking and performing, we all had a fantastic night.  Our kids did a great job and with over 7 rehearsals and a lot of practice, we have connected with our performers in so many ways.

We had over 500 in attendance and an unexpected fire alarm!  The kids did great and picked up right where we left off once we were able to come back into the building.

Please enjoy our short videos of some of our performers!  To all the kids you participated, we are so excited to have you back again next year.  You have so much to be proud of as each one of you did an excellent job.

On behalf of all of us involved.....you truly inspire us to continue our journey to support you and continue our dedication to helping those affected with autism.

Dear Jane, Just wanted to thank you for the fabulous job you did with the "Voices of the Spectrum" Talent Show. I thought you and Mike did a wonderful job keeping the kids engaged and showing a great interest in all of their unique personalities. It was amazing to see all the kids get up on stage and have so much confidence and enthusiasm. When you think of all the challenges and struggles our kids face every day, it was such a blessing to have a gathering where they all felt safe and could be themselves without any pressure that they would be talked about or made fun of for being different. I also wanted to thank you for allowing Brynn to sing. I know it wasn't scheduled or rehearsed, but once she saw other kids sing she became consumed with the idea. I was so proud of her! And yet, a perfect example of what an awesome job you and Mike did creating the perfect atmosphere for all these amazing kids. With much gratitude, Marie Bond Submitted By: Marie Bond

Hi Jane and Mike, I just wanted to say once again how great yesterday was for our family. Sachin was beaming all evening. It was my birthday yesterday, and seeing all of our kids do so well was the best gift ever. I cried, laughed, and left with a heart full of inspiration, hope, and pride. I haven’t felt that way in a long time, not on my (dreaded) birthdays. Our whole family felt proud of all the kids and most grateful to you both for making it all happen. Please let me know if there is an opportunity to help you in this endeavor or if there are other activities like this that you will be organizing. It would be an honor to help you help our kids. Thank you for your exemplary work and dedication. Sincerely, Punita Submitted By: Punita Arora
